Is there an indicator in the activity log (preferably accessible to a filter/constraint) to know that the List Unsubscribe Header was the source of a user's unsubscribe action? Thanks. -Robert
what is that? The gmail or outlook unsubscribe?
May have to do a test run on yourself to see what happens. I am pretty sure Marketo does not distinguish this, but it will depend how it sends data to Marketo.
IIRC, when you see Unsubscribed from Email (meaning a particular email was the aggravating factor) but you don't see a Visit Web Page on your Unsubscribe page and/or Filled Out Form for your relevant form(s), these factors together mean someone used a button based off the X-List-Unsubscribe header to unsubscribe.
In my limited test of 1 action (on Gmail, as I couldn't find a way to
trigger the list unsubscribe header on O365 or Yahoo), Marketo logged this
as detail/reason: "lead unsubscribed from list unsubscribe." Not clear from
that small data set if that's a universal truth in Marketo for how this
would be handled across other clients.
Makes sense, they probably added a specific label for it now which is cool. Back when I looked at this we had to decipher what Unsubscribed from Email meant as we knew the client didn't have a Marketo-integrated Unsubscribe page (that was thru CRM).
The good news is that it does appear that multiple clients (not sure if
all) are logging the List Unsubscribe Header action in a similar manner.
The bad news is that it appears the only way to tease it out using a filter
may be with a Data Value Changed (for attribute Unsubscribed) containing
that key phrase, which is limited to a 90-day time horizon.
Add an IM when it happens?
