Has anyone got a list of common mobile devices and browsers that we should be checking that websites/emails render ok on?

For emails you'd best grab an email testing program. Both www.litmus.com and www.emailonacid.com work.
You can send them your emails or upload them yourself and they will automatically render the emails across a number of browsers and clients.
You can run a list in Marketo to get an idea of the % of the list on each device. That is diff than Litmus, which is highly recommended.
