Limited number of characters for folder and programs names

For a better planning of a naming convention strategy I would like to know if there is there a limitation in the number of characters that we can use for folder and programs' names?

I had similar question as we were doing an integration to an external system.

I found out that the limit for program name and folder is 255 characters. The program or folder will not error out if you have a longer name, but it will truncate at 255 characters. I hope this helps.

I too have not reached a limit for naming. Agree with Alex to keep them to a reasonable length. The following are helpful resources;

Hi Karina,

I have never reached a limit, if there is one. I do advice you to keep the names of the programs to a reasonable length, however, to avoid confusions when you are setting up flows.
