Has anyone experienced this sync error before? We're experiencing this reoccurring sync error, but have not yet
identified how to fix it.

Thanks! This was helpful. Our situation was that one of our form fields was mapped to
a lead record type id. So whenever a contact would submit the form the lead record type id
would attach to the contact record causing the sync error.

Anytime you see this it is related to permissions for the Marketo User in SFDC. Speak with your SFDC Admin about the records in question. I have seen variations of this error that do not always match what Kenny wrote about.
