Hero image issue in Outlook

Hi all,

I've been trying to figure out why the hero background image keeps getting slightly squished in Outlook. It's been about four days and I've nearly driven myself insane by now. Can someone please help me understand what portion of this email template is changing the dimensions of the hero background image?

It's a very subtle difference, but my team wants it perfect so I'm stuck editing the html over and over until I get it right...

there are probably code hubs related to this online. Any time I've heard of a problem it's related to VML? and outlook's rendering choices.

Hey Josh,

Thanks for the reply. I ended up resolving the issue without discovering the true root of the cause. I ended up removing all of the content in the hero section, which utilized background-image, and ended up replacing it with a regular image tag. I also had to add a class for the img tag for mobile.
