Google Conversion Tracking Code Snippet

I am trying to track form completes using Google Adwords w//Marketo form landing pages. I am trying to add the script to Marketo thank you page - but it doesn't seem to take. It's the conversion tracking script run out of Google AdWords. Example is below. I pasted it into the body, but can't seem to validate the code. anyone else seen this or tried it?

If I recall correctly, Brett, AdWords will only accept a conversion following an actual ad click.  So, script aside for now, how are you trying to test this?  I don't think just loading the landing page will do anything.

I want to be able to go into Google and validate my conversions. i am testing it by trying to validate the code on the page. from another thread I am assuming that I don't need both scripts. Today my template has this one:

Does anyone know how to track the conversions through Google AdWords for a landing page that leads to no thank you page? We have the asset just opening up instantly after someone completes a form, but I know that Google suggests placing the code on a thank you or some follow-up page after the form is completed.

Hello,
Did you ever get the tracking code to work?   
We want to track conversions (i.e. goals) in GA.  I have put the tracking code on the templates that we use for relevant landing pages, but I still cannot get conversions to track at all.
I also tried putting the tracking code directly onto each relevant landing page, but that does not seem to work.
