Re: Forward to a Friend

Is there a way to edit the Forward to a Friend pop-up box? I want it to read "Forward to a Colleague", and take out all of the 'friend' references.

Any updates on this? Is this something that's been solved or considered?

Which part are you trying to change? The form?

Hi Sanford, would you be able to explain where the velocity code posted in your blog goes? Do you save it as a .js file?

In a Velocity ("Email Script") {{my.token}}.

It would also be great if the email that gets sent to the 'friend' could have a note added to it, like "Hey friend(first name), I thougth you would liek this too."

Did anyone ever come up with a solution for this? I'd love to use the forward to friend functionality but it seems silly to use the word "friend" for our audience. I know I can change the link to Forward to Colleague, but it doesn't do me much good if when then click it they are taken to a form that says Forward to Friend. Is there anyway to correct this? I tried changing the text from Forward to a friend inside the arrows to >Forward to a Colleague</a> but that didn't work.

Thanks!

There is no way to customize the F2F box and appearance at this time. You would need to have access to this file:

http://**your Marketo CNAME**/js/forwardemail.js

If there isn't an idea already submitted, this is definitely one to add.

have you tried changing the text from Forward to a friend inside the arrows ie:

>Forward to a Friend</a> Try changing that part to >Forward to a Colleague</a> . I think that may change the dialoge of the link

Let me know if it worked out 🙂
