i recently updated a contact record in marketo, and when i checked this record in dynamics crm all the fields synced across, apart from the first name field! so i could see my updates such as job title were up to date, but the first name change was not reflected.
why would this happen?

Are you able to see the first name getting updated for the lead record in dynamics as per the updates made in Marketo?
And, also good to check to make sure that Field Updates aren't getting blocked for the First Name field. Probably rare since it's coming from CRM, but good to take a look there, too.
