Re: [Feb 11 AMA] Ask Me Anything about the Marketo IMS Migration

Hi @Thorsten

That's correct indeed, a new user with a Standard user role will have - at that point - access to data they should not have. This is the current standard flow. Although you can quickly update their rights through in Marketo through Admin > Users & Roles (for non Administrators) so this can be fixed in minutes. Adobe's product managers did start conversations with their engineering teams to solve this issue, since this question has been asked by a couple of other customers too.

All our users are already on the Admin console except the API users that are in Marketo. Can they stay?

Hi @Jeroen_Krah

Great that your users are already on the Admin Console, this is one step in the migration process covered.

If you  have questions please RSPV and ask questions in advance so we can discuss as a group in the live thread in February.

API users do not use a IMS login, we can explain in more detail in the Ask me Anything session.

Thanks, Zoe

Re: [Feb 11 AMA] Ask Me Anything about the Marketo IMS Migration

Our team is very interested in the new Email, Form, and Landing Page editor! Some questions from my side:

1. Do I contact my CSM or customercare@marketo.com to begin the Marketo Engage migration process? I already have access to Admin Console, but am confused if our CSM will be guiding us through the process or another pre-migration team will.

2. Should I expect any disruptions from the move?

3. Is there a cost implication to the migration?

Thanks in advance!

Answer: You can contact either your account team or Marketo support. Support is prepared to assist customers if they have questions or challenges. Your account team or support can share the many available enablement materials we have including such documentation:

2. Should I expect any disruptions from the move?

Answer: There is no disruption to service, campaigns, etc during the product or user migration.

3. Is there a cost implication to the migration?

Answer: There is no cost implication to product or user migrations.

We've already set up SSO. Is there anything else that we need to do in preparation for the migration?

Answer: We recommend preparing your users. There is a great resource you can review, familiarize yourself with the changes and impacts of migrating to Adobe Identity and communicate to your users at Migrating to Adobe Identity Management Tutorial

Additionally, be sure that your Adobe Org system admin provides consent, if required.

Answer: It depends on the subscription/customer. If you are wondering for your specific subscription(s) we suggest you reach out to your account team or support and they can tell you if/when you are scheduled.
