Exactly 60 Days Ago

My question is related to date based segmentation...

My company's application is currently capturing "Last_Login_Date" and updating Marketo via the API with a time stamp. Once the data is in Marketo, I'd like to create a Smart Campaign which uses a Smart List to look for people that last logged into my application exactly 60 days ago and send them an email.

I understand I could kick off a Smart Campaign by saying "Last_Login_Date" is equal to today and then wait 60 days; however, I'm concerned that if someone where to be added to the Smart Campaign and then login during the 60 day wait stage, they wouldn't be removed from the campaign and might receive my email even though they had recently logged in.

Can someone please share the best practice for how to execute a campaign like I'm referring to?

Thanks!

Hi Tim,

You can create a trigger campaign for data value changes for  "Last_Login_Date" and then remove the person from the campaign so that they don't receive the email. Hope this helps!

Re: Exactly 60 Days Ago

Setup 2 smart lists:

1.  Login 60 Days :  Last_Login_Date in past 60 days

2.  Login 59 Days:  Last_Login_Date in past 59 days

Then in the smart campaign setup the filter as:

Member of Smart List in Login 60 Days
AND
Member of Smart List not in Login 59 Days

This will only return leads that have a Last_Login_Date of exactly 60 days ago.
