Email Template Module Updated. How do we update emails?

Hello everyone,

A few months ago, we updated one of our email modules in the email template to ensure it is responsive in dark mode. (This is our text module which is used in all of our emails!)

To update existing emails, it seems we need to re-drag the module and update it to ensure it displays correctly in dark mode. Simply re-approving the email template and bulk approving the emails hasn't worked for us.

Is there a solution for this? Possibly, is there a way to see a list of emails and the last time they were updated or approved? Comparing this with the date we updated the email template could help us identify which emails still need to be updated.

Thanks!

Camille

You can use Advanced Search, filtering on Email. The items will be ordered by Last Modified, descending:

Re: Email Template Module Updated. How do we update emails?

This is the expected behavior for modules in the Email 2.0 editor as well as any content inside of an editable area (.mktoText) in a Guided Landing Page template. You're on the right track here with pulling in new modules to replace the existing versions in each of your email assets and then updating them with the content from the "old" module.

I think the reason that it's setup this way is that you wouldn't want to make an update at the template level to a module or editable area and then have all your emails or landing pages revert to that content. In most cases, you'll drag an editable module into your email and change the content so it'd make for a mess if all the content in those modules updated to reflect what was updated at the template level (which is usually something close to placeholder text and images).
