Hi everyone,
I have the following problem. I've used static list to import some leads, but when I did the sync with salesforce, those leads are now duplicates. Using the same e-mail address.
So, I have for example two ID number for 1 lead and the same information, but the source for one is a static list and the other one has source salesforce.
How I can avoid to have duplicates when I use static lists and salesforce?
Thank you in advance.

I suspect she uploaded them to Marketo first, then turned on the sync with SFDC.
Marketo does not dedupe records that come in from SFDC.

Hey Adriana,
Who did you sync the records too in Salesforce? This doesn't happen typically so something must have happened on the Salesforce side most likely. Can you describe your process in detail and how you discovered that duplicates were created, please?

Hi Josh,
Thank you for your answer. Do you know what tool can I use to merge leads?
Thank you!
For duplication, I think you can try TIBCO Clarity. It has a really powerful and robust de-duplication function.
You can customize your match strategies by columns or by swappable columns or by columns against to a thesaurus table, and then use them to discover duplicate records from any incomplete or partially similar records, even from records in different languages.
In addition, It has deep integration with both Salesforce and Marketo. It can help you directly update and remove duplication data in your salesforce and Marketo account.

Hi Adrian.
RingLead works with 150+ Marketo customers for deduping and more importantly pre-duping, that is preventing duplicates as they are being created in Marketo. Lists, forms, any way a new record is created. Whatever it costs to get the data right at the point of creation it will cost 10x to fix the data later so the best practice is to focus on prevention.

There's also a desktop tool from CRM Fusion called DemandTools; it has very powerful de-duping logic and support de-duping across objects (standard as well as custom); as well as a slew of other admin-data management functionality.
