Hi All,
One of my team members is creating an email for an event. They are not going to send the email blast in Marketo, but rather share the HTML (which was designed in Marketo) of the email with the event and have the event send the blast. Can I still track opens and other stats from this email by something embedded in the code or is that outside the capabilities of the Marketo munchkins and HTML?
Thank you as always,
Murph
Sanford Whiteman explains it well here - Tracking pixel HTML for open rate on non-Marketo emails
Also suggest that you move your post to Products area where more people frequent as the Community Help & Feedback section is really for help and feedback about the Community Website and not about Marketo Product Support.
Hi Chris,
1. Thank you for the link! Will read for sure.
2. If you cannot tell I am super new so thank you for the guidance within the community. I will certainly change where I post from here on out.
Thanks again and have a great day.
Murph
Thanks to Chris for the @. Also, Murphy, if you have the sender tag links appropriately, you can also record web activities -- pageviews and link clicks -- that follow the email click. (That's assuming they're going to a page on your website or on a Marketo-hosted LP domain, i.e. a page that runs your Munchkin code.)
About the only thing you can't simulate is the email click activity itself, since that only works when the link is rewritten to bounce off Marketo's tracking servers.
(You can move your discussions from Place to Place. The menu is at the upper right.)
