Count discrepancy in the smart list and revenue explorer

Hi,

I was checking the last six months metrics of an email. However, there was a huge count mismatch in the smart list of a campaign(exclusively built to count the metrics), Email performance report and, revenue explorer email analysis report.

The date range was correctly selected. Can anyone please explain the reason of this data discrepancy.

It could be because of the Marketo's activities data retention policies that doesn't apply on the RCE but apply on the basic reporting/SLs etc. The data in the RCE is fed from a different server on which the normal activity retention policy doesn't apply on the RCE reports, check out the nation post here.

On the other hand, on all the basic reports/SLs etc. the retention policies do apply per which the high volume activities like Email Send/Delivered are retained for a rolling period of 90 days past the date of activity, whereas activities like Clicks/Opens are retained for a duration of 25 months.
