I love the focus on the QA process. It's so important to review all components of the campaign prior to launch!

Agreed-upon QA checklists are crucial! Keeping them consistent and updated is tough, though! Need to have constant reminders!

Also love program folder tokens! critical!

Awesome tips, Kyle! Data normalization is spot on - not only from an accuracy/relevance perspective in Marketo, but also from a system perspective to avoid any CRM sync errors.

Awesome tips! I highly recommend making a data dictionary to explain each field in the Marketo database: details on what it represents, sources (if applicable), field type, how it should and shouldn't be used, etc.

These are all very helpful! I wish I had understood tokens better when I first set up my Marketo account. It would have saved me TONS of time and effort!

YES to data normalization! Whenever I start at a new company I spend a good month making sure I understand our database and normalize data as much as possible.

Totally agree on the data front. Not understanding this can mean errors as simple as missing a set of people who had valid reasons to be included in a campaign, or as major as a compliance breach... eek.

And TOKENS! All the tokens.
