My email program has 2 different emails based on segmentation (by region). I want to perform an a/b test on both:
- Email 1 - a/b test subject line
- Email 2 - a/b test whole email
I recall you can nest an a/b test for a landing page, but can you do that for an email too? Is this possible, or do I have to create a new program for Email 2?
Note: the content is already dynamic for language
Thanks!
If you are using the Email program type, you can only do an A/B test on one email. It isn't advised to be testing two variables for the same email at the same time, as you wouldn't be able to tell what gave you better results in the end.
I know that I've seen something regarding A/B tests for Engagement programs, but this wouldn't apply for this use case.
Use a Default program and nest your two email programs with your A/B tests.
Thank you!!
The one thing to consider with this is that you still have two separate email programs within that Default program. It would work as a means to separate your segments.
From my understanding of what you are doing, you would need to conduct 2 A/B tests per segment as your sample changes completely with the different segments.
if you have 2 segments, I understand it as you would need 4 email programs.
Am I right in that understanding?
