Re: Can we adjust landing pages to be HTTPS instead of HTTP?

Recent browser updates no longer load insecure iframes in secure pages. This is causing forms to not show up in Chrome and Firefox. Safari is more lax and still works. Is this supported? If so, what is the process for enabling it?

We are also considering moving our marketo instance to HTTPS. If we were to do this, what would happen if we had HTTP content like youtube videos in the landing pages? Would the non-secure content still work?

Actually we do send reminders for expiring SSL certificates, though we highly recommend taking a proactive approach to certificate expiration to eliminate any possibility of downtime due to expiration.

No technical issues.  You'll have to do the cert lifecycle management - we don't send reminders.

But no real technical issues, right? If we did the SSL cert, we could refer to our pages via http:// or https:// and both would work.

I understand the logistics of SSL cert expiration. That can be a pain. Does Marketo help communicate upcoming expirations or is that all on the customer's shoulders?

Yes - the customer must procure an SSL certificate for their domain and make sure they renew it when it expires.  This cert is installed on Marketo's servers, so there is just a process overhead due to which reason many customers choose not to use certs/SSL

Why wouldn't a company want to host landing pages on SSL? We just started using Marketo and doing this seems like a no brainer with no downsides. Is there a catch?

Just complementing Raj's note, once SSL is implemented all landing pages will be served by https.
It is an all or nothing cnfiguration.

The benefits of SSL go far beyond just the supression of security alerts when switching between http and https.
