Can't Sync to MS Dynamics CRM 2011

We have been unable to establish the connection of our Marketo instance to our Dynamics 2011 On-Premise.  Each time we enter the credentials into Marketo, we receive an "Invalid Credentials" error.  We have tried every possible combination.  The credentials and url work when logging into Dynamics directly.  Anyone else experience this problem?  If so, what did you do to resolve?

Hi Sarah,

We had similar situation (not being able to successfully enter credentilas) and the problem was in the URL we were entering. It is not enough to put only your URL like: https./mycrm.com, but you need to include also following part after CRM domain name: /XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc - at least this was in our case.

You can find more information on this link: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000L7Z0CAK
This is the part you should be looking is following:

Note.  Marketo will attempt to access the Dynamics Discovery Service.  If it cannot be located, the other option is to look up the Organization Service URL directly in Dynamics.  It will have this form:
https://<<organizationURL>>/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc
This URL can be found in Dynamics by selecting Customizations > Developer Resources. You will want to copy the URL for the Organization Service.

I hope this helps.
We have now a challange in restricting certain leads going from CRM to Marketo. In case you will be having some advices on this part, please let me know.

Thanks, Sara

Thank you both for your responses.  We are going to try to go back through and change the Organization Service URL.   I will post back and let you know.

Sara, once we start passing leads, I will check back with you!

Thanks!!

Just want to close the loop on my comment.

I was able to connect correctly after following all the steps on the walk-through.

Hmm, this could be PEBCAK. I just RTFM and it looks like i'll need to do some configuration on our end first for it to work. I originally thought that the configuration was just for on-prem, but maybe not.

I'm having the same issue. Maybe this is a recent change on the Dynamics end.

Hope it gets addressed quickly.
