Are you able to easily remove Salesforce and other integrations in the sandbox?

We are about to begin to build Salesforce integrations in the Marketo sandbox and before we do this we want to understand how easy or difficult it is to remove integrations.  Once the integrations are built, are they “permanent” in nature?  If not, how easily can they be undone?  Or, would we have to blow everything away and begin from scratch?

Salesforce (and Microsoft Dynamics) integrations are permanent and cannot be removed.  A new sandbox instance would need to be provisioned. Other integrations (i.e. through Launchpoint) can be removed at any time.

We have a Marketo Sandbox connected to a Salesforce sandbox. We are planning to refresh that Salesforce sandbox soon. Is there a way to reconnect the Marketo Sandbox to this Salesforce environment once the refresh is completed?

Yes, please contact Marketo Support after the refresh and they will help you reconnect it.

Thanks @Steven_Vanderb3 for the response. What will happen to all data and metadata in Marketo once the newly refreshed sandbox is re-connected and synced? Will the metadata and data from Salesforce that exists within the Marketo sandbox be overwritten?

Are there any considerations for doing this? We are currently involved in a project which has a go-live of 10/12. Ideally, we'd like to refresh our Salesforce sandbox to have a clean version to continue doing work in. However, before doing so I'd like to understand the behavior and implications of this action before doing so.
