We're ready to make the switch from the email 1.0 editor to the 2.0 one. Rather than work with an agency to have a highly customized template designed, the Email 2.0 template from Perkuto (called "Allegro") looks attractive (A Marketo Email 2.0 Template from Perkuto). Especially given the wide variety of options for a number of layouts within a single template; and the ability to customize it to reflect our current brand. It also has a nice price point.
I'd be interested to hear from any of you that are using this all-in-one template.
Hey Guys!
At our agency, LeadMD, we have a huge 2.0 template library we use for our clients. I'm a big advocate for 2.0, there are tons of great benefits that you are just missing out on if you haven't flipped the switch yet.
If you're exploring 2.0 templates and want to play with something outside of 'starter templates' from Marketo, here's one of our own templates, Artemis, that you can use for free.

Couple things to keep in mind about 2.0.
Hit me up if you guys have any questions about the template or looking for anything else to beef up your own template libraries. Thanks!

I reached out to them twice by email and once by phone to get pricing on the template and never heard back. Not very impressed by the organization at this point.
Thanks Christina - good to know. Have you selected another vendor/template?
Based on this thread Grazitti reached out to me a few hours ago and they also have a template. I sent it to my Art Director to see if it meets our needs and I'll try to go to their booth at Summit next week.
It seems like it has more modules than Allegro, but I'm worried about it's length. The Allegro looked like it was just enough module options to give variety but not too many so that users are annoyed by deleting out a huge number of sections. The Grazitti option looks much longer with more sections. My users probably only use Marketo 1-3 times a week or less than an hour each login, so they aren't going to like an option that creates a lot more work.
Yeah, I got the same reply from Grazitti. Their all-in-one template is a bit more expensive as well ($1000 vs. $300). We worked with Grazitti late last year to have a customized guided LP template created for us. We were quite happy with their work. The all-in-one approach is attractive - I just want to find out how much it can be customized at the template level - to at least include our brand colors, logo alignment, removal of sections we'll never use/need, etc. - rather than each and every time my team needs to create a new email.
I would suggest Knak.io then. Low cost, lots of options, Marketo expert and friendly.
Not sure why Perkuto never got back to you. They are off on the holidays in Montreal if you called on Friday or Monday.
Pierce Ujjainwalla, does Knak offer an "all-in-one" email editor 2.0 template for Marketo?
knak.io should tell you
It's hard to tell from their site - which is why I directed this to Pierce. As you know, Knak's model is a little different. You create the design/layout - per template - using their service and out spits a very specific template (not optional/selectable regions) for a specific layout. Their model is one that hopes you'll use them each and every time a new template is needed, rather than a "use them once" service for an all-in-one template. So I suspect the answer is "no", just wanted to give Pierce the opportunity to confirm.
Hey Dan,
Good question. We do have a master 2.0 email template that is available in the Knak library now. Moving forward all of our templates will be 2.0 templates.
Our model is actually just about making it as simple and easy as possible for Marketers to make best-in-class Marketo email and landing page templates. And that's the reason over 40% of Marketo's customers use us. Although we offer a master template, we will still be releasing purpose built templates for specific situations that Marketers often run into (like confirmation, registration or newsletter emails).
I think a really good master 2.0 email template is a step in the right direction when it comes to flexibility of email creation. However, there are still lots of limitations of even the best master 2.0 template (which I think ours is). That is why we built a full-blown WYSIWYG email editor with a direct integration into Marketo. We call this Knak Pro and you can trial it for free in our app now. It provides maximum flexibility to Marketers who want total control. It's drag and drop to the next level. Would be curious to hear your feedback on it.
Cheers.
This is Jason from knak...I can answer
We do have a 2.0 Master Template available, but we haven't added it to our app yet. If you are interested in a demo, please reach out to me @ jason@knak.io and I can walk you through what we have. Thanks!
Thanks Jason. Will you or Pierce be at Summit next week?
Pierce will be there...with the ELQ show going on at the same time, we've got to split up. I'll be in Vegas
Hi Dan, I invite you to test the Allegro template. If it does not work as you expect, I'll make sure to reimburse your purchase.
I think I called on a Friday, but I emailed 4/7 and 4/11 (although only mentioned Allegro specifically in the 2nd email).
Hi Christina, I'm terribly sorry that you haven't received a response to your request faster than that. This is not our standard. I see that you are book to talk to someone in our team later this week. I'm convince we can demonstrate you that Allegro templates will be a good fit for your needs.
Can't say I use this one specifically. We do work with them on coding and they do a great job.
