What all does adding this feature provide that would be useful from a Marketing stand point that you don't get without paying to add it? Basically, it is worth investigating it?

It all depends on budget, company needs and people (skills and resources).

RCE keeps all reporting in Marketo and is great for out the box reporting if you are lean on data analytics.

For basic reporting you can use the Program and people reports in Marketo and Smart lists based on program names/types/dates.

For more advanced reporting you can use PowerBi and your CRM connections.

Always define your reporting needs, goals, standards (point of truth) and agree with Marketing and Sales. Then you can discuss what resources, skills and budget you have in-house. If you need additional Marketo reporting then contact your Customer Relation Manager who can provide demos and advice.

@kami

These abbreviations are regions or Workspaces used in making of programs, for example

  • APAC = Asia Pacific & China
  • Default = unknown region (maybe missing country or invalid country name)
  • EMEA - Europe, Middle East, Africa
  • NAM = North America

These will be based on your company's global regions or business units. If you are just in the United States, then you may not need this level of segmentation for execution, assets, and reporting if all activities are reported together.

Hi @Zoe_Forman

My team is made up of 6 people, however only my Manager and I use Marketo.

The team I belong to oversees the digital marketing for a national chain of charter schools. My role oversees all of our school landing pages and emails. Marketo makes it possible. I say prayers to the Marketo Gods daily πŸ€£

Nice to meet you! I’m also brand new to marketo (started January). What is the top 3 tips or tricks you’ve learned so far?

Re: πŸ—£οΈ [Mentor Zoe Forman] 🌟 Adobe Marketo Engage Community Mentorship Program 2024 🌟

@kami I love this question!

My biggest tip/trick is to leverage chatGPT to troubleshoot Marketo issues. I created a custom GPT a few months ago when I  started my new position to have a place to ask questions and get info on keywords I was learning while in training. It was a game-changer! I use it daily, saving countless hours in web searches or YouTube deep dives.

My next tip is to set up snippets for any anticipated dynamic content before setting up the email campaign that will use them. In my current position, I oversee nurture tracks for 100+ schools and the previous workflow had us editing the dynamic content in each email. πŸ˜“ I plan on changing that.

Lastly, I recommend brushing up on your JavaScript if you have anything to do with landing pages (which I DO). We have been able to make our landing pages so much more robust with our Knak integration and a little Javascript magic.
