Hello! My name is Tanina Khanuja and I am the Digital Marketing Director at Withum, an advisory, tax and audit firm. I have been with the firm for 13 years. In December 2016, I led the Marketo implementation project at Withum and we have been using the platform ever since. In October 2022, we migrated to a new Marketo instance and a new Microsoft Dynamics 360 platform. I had the opportunity to lead the Marketo migration and sync into Dynamics.
I am excited to take my Marketo experience to the next level with a certification. I will be taking my exam from Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
I do have a question for you, Pierre. I passed my Marketo certification in August 2017, but did not move forward to renew after two years. Will I need to take the Business Practitioner exam first or can I jump to the Architect exam right away? Thanks!
Hi Tanina and thank you for your message and little background about yourself.
Dynamics integration hey, that's brilliant I feel for after having done a couple myself. Fun I'd say...maybe not sometime lol.
To answer your question, there is a prerequisite. You MUST have an active (not expired) Adobe Marketo Engage Business Practitioner Expert Certification to take the Adobe Marketo Engage Architect Master exam. Please check the article here.
Let me know if yo have any questions.
Thank you
PIerre
Hi Tanina, sorry but as I was chatting with Kat. I am interested in why you want to pass the exam. It's a good way to understand your motivation, get to know you and see whether I can help based on my experience 🙂 Thank you
Hi Pierre,
Thank you for your response!
Since I do not have an active certification, should I be moved to a different group to first pass the Business Practitioner Expert certification?
Hello Pierre and fellow aspirants!
My name is Kat Tronolone and I'm the Senior Marketing Automation Specialist at Paychex. Paychex is a large financial services firm based in the US.
I began using Marketo in 2019 when I worked for a digital services agency and was fortunate enough to have exposure to Marketo implementations at a variety of companies. In my current role, I am responsible for overseeing the instance as a whole and providing mentorship to my teammates. A recent win was replacing a blob of text that was passed with conversion information to SFDC to committing data directly to Salesforce via webhook.
Prior to my time with Marketo, I spent 10 years using Salesfusion (now SugarMarket) and was on the customer advisory board for the product.
At Paychex, I've had the opportunity to share my enthusiasm for Marketo across out entire marketing department and love bringing my "Art of Possible" attitude to discovery and kick-off meetings with my partners across the organization. So often Marketo gets pigeonholed as an email platform, but as we know, it's so much more!
I'm based in Rochester, NY and share my home with my husband, daughter (8), son (3), and beloved Australian Shepard (11.)
Favorite Marketo blogs are: https://blog.teknkl.com/ and https://purplemeup.substack.com/
Edit to add: I am planning to take my Architect exam in September.
Welcome Kat and nice to meet you.
wow when I read you and your enthusiasm for Marketo, I feel like I am talking about myself. That's awesome to read about people that are quite passionate about Marketo. Yes I totally agree we can do so much more with Marketo other than blasting emails to the whole database...
I guess you already have your Expert certification and now ready for the big one. If you don't mind me asking why do you want to get the architect exam? You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I am just interested to know what your motivation is and how I can help you get to that exam and successfully pass it.
Thank you
Pierre
Hi Pierre! 👋 I'm a 2x Marketo Expert and that has been a wonderful experience. I am interested in pursing my Architect certification to push myself to learn more about Marketo and what's possible in a larger stack outside of what I'm exposed to in my current role. I also hope this will give me a larger "seat at the table" for internal discussions about how we use our stack and how we can bring more innovations to our organization.
Hello Pierre and Fellow aspirants,
I'm Monika and I've been working on Marketo tool for almost 8 and half years. I work as Digital tech Developer Senior Analyst at Accenture based out of India.
I have good experience on Integration with SFDC, MSD and many other modules in Marketo like Lead scoring, lead Lifecyle, Revenue cycle model etc.
At Accenture, I have opportunity to explore Marketo tool out and out and can share the knowledge with fellow colleagues and through various professional platforms.
I'm a 3x certified expert and would now like to be an MCSA as it could help me in achieving a significant milestone that can boost my confidence and get industry recognition. It will also help me gain professional network and open a wide range of opportunities internally and externally.
I feel certification programs cover a wide range of topics, ensuring a deep understanding of Marketo’s capabilities and best practices. Wanted to see how I can work on effective marketing strategies that drive better results, enhancing my ability to contribute to business success.
Thank you.
