Thank you, Jon! Hi Blake & fellow aspirants, it is so nice to meet you all, I am excited to be apart of this contextual group and to work towards certification for the next month. 🙂 & Blake thank you for being a mentor ! my name is Caitlin and I am a digital marketing ops specialist at McKesson, I've been with the company since first week of January this year. I have been working with Marketo in similar positions since 2021 (first at another Healthcare distribution company then at an Information Services provider) after beginning my career in tech sales & consulting (cloud/analytics/data warehouse etc) working with fortune 1000 companies in healthcare/pharma/hospital systems & financial/management consulting industries, and where I first gained experience working with a marketing automation system (Eloqua), mainly using from a front end perspective as a rep to automate and personalize (and more easily track in CRM) emails I wrote/created myself to my customers. The initial reason I got into Marketing Operations/Marketo was sort of accidentally, the company that hired me wanted someone with a sales rep perspective to be involved in the implementation of MSI emails as well as the training, which turned into also being the main digital marketing operations/marketo administrator working with internal stakeholders across 30 divisions to support their email marketing/lead generation/analytics & reporting/etc. so i like to say i kind of fell into marketing ops , but I am so lucky that that happened! I currently am living on Hilton Head Island, SC just moved here in January from Chicago and will be here for the remainder of the summer before moving back to Boston 🙂
Hi @caitmfarrellmck nice to hear about your journey getting into the field. I too accidentally found out about marketing automation. I was open to any kind of internships (nothing in particular that I was searching for) and landed in one that involved Marketo. I have heard of Pardot but have never used it.
Side note: I posted below @achai post, you are more than welcome to email me as well and the three of us can work together. Just wanted to make sure I open the invitation!
Hi everyone, it's so nice to meet you all! My name is Alison and I am based in southern California. I am currently an analyst at ServiceTitan. I started getting involved with Marketo for marketing automation purposes for about 3 years now. I'm pretty specialized in using Marketo to set up smart campaigns and database management and will likely need support on understanding and learning more about emails and niche campaign topics. I work with a small team so hoping that studying for this exam will help me unlock more ways to optimize our product usage and help me network with others who are using the tool! 🙂
Hi everyone! My name is Diana and I am from Southern California, my job title is marketing automation specialist for a healthcare company called Vituity. I first learned about Marketo back in 2018 when I did an internship and ever since then, I decided to pursue a career in marketing automation. Once I started working full-time I decided I definitely needed to obtain a certification to help advance my knowledge. As of now I have been using Marketo for 3 years. I am excited to join everyone in this journey and hopeful that this program will help!
Hi everyone! Would people be interested in setting up weekly study sessions together or even do one session in the second week as a check-in? I feel like it would be nice to set some time up to go through things and how we might be approaching studying the material together along with being a good way to keep motivated. I'd prefer to meet after work hours or on the weekends, but can be flexible to everyone's schedule!
@achai That sounds great! My email is dquinte1@uci.edu if you'd like to reach me the quickest. Perhaps we can discuss the material through there and come up with some questions/ask for help on here. We can also chat via email to see when we can set up a time to virtually meet to study together?
Is anyone getting a 404 error page for the exam guide? I can no longer access it @Jon_Chen @achai @caitmfarrellmck
@dianaquintero25 what link are you using?
@Jon_Chen confirmed the linked guide gives a 404.
