traditional tracking for A/B email testing

traditional tracking for A/B email testing

I need the same tracking info from the old way of sending email blast as you have in the new email campaigns (in particular with A/B testing). It seems silly that this information (delivery, opens, clicks) does NOT get pushed to Salesforce.

My understanding is that you do the A/B test and then have the winner sent out to the remaining population of the smart list. This is genius. HOWEVER, it makes NO sense that this info isn't communicated to sales.

I understand that the names of the test emails are different BUT this seems besides the point (why can't Marketo include that new email name as part of the program?).

Why would I ever use an A/B test if it isn't going to get tracked like a regular email? What is the point of testing, then? I want the winner to go to as many people as possible, but not if I can't get any information from it!!!

Please update this ASAP - it seems an important testing function is COMPLETELY disconnected from the rest of the platform and from being useful.

Hi Miro,

I haven't used the new A/B testing yet but I believe you must use tiles to get the a/b test functionality.  Once you begin using tiles to create your email campaigns, is there a way to add in flow steps for clicked, opened and filled out form (and then link the campaign to it's SFDC counterpart)?

Hi Miro,

We did not take the ability away to track opens, clicks, etc. in SFDC.  In all programs, you have to have smart campaigns that do this tracking for you.  As Patty mentioned, you can add these in manually using smart campaigns.  Is there other information you are hoping will get passed to SFDC?

Thanks,
Cheryl
