See who created & modified assets and smart campaigns

This would be a very useful feature fo us. We (just as most people here) have a lot of users in the system and sometimes you need to contact someone who made/modified a specific email or landing page - but without beeing able to see who it was makes that difficult..

Right now I am only able to see who has modified smart campaigns (not always who created it even though I sometimes can see from the date and time that it is the same person that last modified it). So a more consistent behavior here would also be appreciated.

Agreed - additionally I'd like to see a history of what was changed and by whom. Right now we have no audit trail, which is very frustrating.

Interestingly, but not surprisingly - I had already like those ideas, too.

Kind of disheartening to see the first idea is from 2011 and nothing has been done on that item.

I'd like this feature too, but also at a report level, available in for example program reports in Analytics and Revenue Explorer.

Here is a smart way to create a report for Who did What and When.
What you need is:

  • Audit Trail in your Marketo Instance
  • Knowledge of MS Excel (for creating Pivot Table)
  • Little logics on what we need to fetch

There have been continuous asks on who did what and when did it happen for the Marketo Assets. Though it is available for forms, smart campaign and programs in the summary but not for emails and Landing pages. So, I did for Landing Pages for defined actions i.e Edit, Draft, Approve and Create, we created the filters for Asset Type and the Actions, which results in showing a report like this. Feel free to export the data in form of a .csv file. There is a limitation in the Audit trail that it shows the records for only past 30 days.

So, when you export this data in an Excel file, select all columns to create the pivot table, where you will get to use the fields in form of filters, columns, rows and values. The fields here will be Asset Name, Action Taken, Resource Name, Change Detail, Date/Time that need to be dragged in the Rows area in the same sequence.
