I wish the default in Marketo would be to have all of the things in the Marketo Navigation Tree minimized when you log in or go from section to section. Having so many workspaces and them always fully expanded it makes it hard to navigate quickly.
Not sure if you already have this enabled on your instance, but if you go into Admin > Treasure Chest you can enable the Collape Folders feature, which will collapse all folders in the navigation tree when you first log into your subscription.
I agree about having the folders collapse as you move between section to section. It would be great if the folders to collapsed once I navigated away from the campaign folder or program, especially after doing a search in Marketing Activities.
We do have that enabled but sadly every section for us is always expanded. Makes things overly complicated when trying to do something quickly when you have to search to find it.
Hmm, I wonder if the feature doesn't work if you have workspaces enabled (my company doesn't use workspaces). It is really nice to log into my instance without having every folder I've been into the day before expanded. I don't know why Marketo hasn't incorporated this feature and campaign inspector as part of the base product for everyone yet.
What helps also (I work with workspaces as well) is to create another account with a visibilty profile to just X workspace. Of course have your supersuer log-in to see all workspaces for when you need to, but then have a log-in with settings for just the one or two that you use frequently. That helps us!
I have workspaces and that treasure chest feature enabled and the trees are automatically collapsed for me. Maybe put in a ticket with Marketo support.
