Marketo Auto Login

Marketo Auto Login

Ok Ok -- I get all the security risks and everything, but I still find myself logging into Marketo probably 30-50 times a day. I work in multiple tabs, multiple browsers, sometimes even multiple computers. It would be amazing if there was a way to keep myself logged in, even if it were just for a 12 hours.

If you like this idea, please vote it up!

Try using a service like Last Pass. This will auto-fill the log-in form for you which saves a lot of time.

I agree. It would be nice because I am often signing and re-signing in.

The one good thing about it now, though, is that each time I get back in all of my folders are perfect (collapsed).

I seem to only get auto logged out after 8-12 hours or so. I don't have to log back in through out the day. Hopefully that is not about to change. 🙂

I don't think Marketo should enable this as a feature, password services like the one mentioned above are a better idea.  The reason is that many orgs have a couple of people designated as "admins" and Marketo typically has access to a company's entire client list.  This is a very precious piece of data and creating a native Marketo auto-login feature would potentially be a pretty serious security risk. If you forgot to lock your computer, someone could very quickly export all the client data into csv format. This is why we have passwords.

Last Pass is a great tool. I second that reccomendation. Another suggestion is Virtual Desktop. I run a Win7 VDI desktop and it's persistent, meaning it's the same exact desktop whether using it on my desktop at work, my Mac at home, or my iPad. It helps to keep your workspace conisstent, but has the added benefit of logging into things a lot less.

You can also use a tool like OneLogin.  They have access to 3000+ SaaS apps including Marketo.  Companies like Netflix, Pandora, and Yammer use them.
