Form insights

I would love to see a way to see the forms our customers fill out at inception, before sync, before anything so that I can compare to how it looks on the other side when it is synced with SFDC, incase there was a hiccup in the sync.  I think this would be especially useful since we have noticed as of late some of this information is not getting pushed to SFDC and only showing in marketo (which is only helpful if one of us goes and looks it up, not for the rep working the lead).  It would be nice if the forms showed up like the emails did for the rep to view if necessary.

This is already available.  Look at the details of the Filled Out Form activity.  It contains the verbatim contents of the form post.

Gotcha! I did find what you were speaking of so thank you.  I do still think that it would be a good thing to have it show that in SFDC or whatever CRM you are using as well, just like if they clicked on "opened email" and can see the email right there.

How could a Filled Out Form activity that does not sync with SFDC (again, you said "before sync") be reflected in SFDC?

Also, are you aware that only one such activity per lead per day will ever be synced?

I said before sync simply to mean I would like to see what the form looked like at inception so I could compare to what lead fields got properly or improperly synced.  Ideally it would be great if it also showed on the SFDC.  Yes, I am aware of that.  I am unsure why you are being so hostile about my question, isn't this supposed to be a forum to discuss ideas, improvements, and talk through things?

I just don't see how having additional data replicated into SFDC, when the activity sync process itself is already throttled to one per lead per day to prevent instance overload, would be accurate enough for debugging purposes.

The authoritative record of the form post will always be stored in Marketo... if you have a field that appears to be improperly synced, the only way to know that the data made it to Marketo is to look in Marketo's Activity Log.  You wouldn't look in SFDC to see if the form post went through, and the absence of a corresponding task/activity in SFDC does not mean that the form field values did not get synced.

I do agree that the SFDC side of the Filled Out Form activity is not as verbose as it could be, but as long as there's only one per day, making it more verbose doesn't solve that problem.
