Faster Analytics report generation

When generating a very basic report in Analytics, generating the report can take a very long time (last report I ran took longer than ten minutes, then encountered an error due to it taking too long).. Many times, I end up creating a smart list instead to get the numbers I need instead as I wait for the report to generate.  However, when using smart list for reporting, I miss out on all the features that come with using analytics reports (scheduling, drill down, charts, etc).  

Please improve the speed of the Analytics reports, I would love to be able to use them more often, but it's hard to rely on them if I can't get the data I need.

Are certain reports better or worse than others?

We have been experiencing problems with the Success Path Analyzer and the Opportunity Influence Analyzer.

The lead reports are the worse.  Even if you define criteria in the smart list and setup to narrow the results, it doesn't seem to help speed up the report generation.  Landing page performance and web page activity can also be very slow to load as well (also with contraints limiting the number of results/data that are pulled).

I also find the reports for smart campaigns are very slow to compile, and sometimes encounter the error below.

Hi Erik,

Another bad report would be the Campaign Activity.  Though I admit we have lots of campaigns in our instance, the report never ends up loading for me.  

I started this report at 2:52pm


Still generating at 3:10pm


Timed out at 3:23pm with no results.  


I would love to have this report so we can look at all campaigns with membership and last activity (something we can't get through Campaign Inspector) but unless I run mutiple reports on more specific criteria and copy/paste into one excel document, I'm not able to view and analyze this data all in one place.
