Conditional Input Masking - Forms 2.0

Similar to the visibility rules for fields in Forms 2.0, it would be great if there was a way to set up conditions for the mask input based on another value on the form. This would greatly improve data quality in our databases if were able to assign a condition to the input mask for the phone number field based on the country value selected.

Example:

IF Country is United States or Canada,

THEN Phone Number Mask Input is (999) 999-9999

IF Country is not United States or Canada

THEN Phone Number Mask Input is +999999999999

Has there been a fix for phone number validation? For both US and international numbers? Don't understand why more JavaScript is needed to get this validation to work correctly. Should be baked into the product without extra work for such a simple form validation.
