Allow templates to be changed after email created

We have found that we will want to test out different templates, but cannot change the template once we have created an email. The biggest time that we run into this is we have our company logo template in English and French. If I want to clone an English email to simply add the French text, I cannot do this because I can't change easily from one template to another. It adds extra steps and causes me to have to have the English version open at the same time to make sure the formatting is the same. I want to have a button so that I can easily change the template once I have started working on an email.

My company is having the same issue and our clients are getting frustrated by it. Do you know when Marketo is planning to implement a solution on this?

This has come up with our company again. We have our email footers with our addresses, however we have a US and Canadian headquarters, so now when I want to do an email, I have to create my US email, get all the spacing cleaned up and approved. Then instead of it being simple to clone it and change the template to get the correct footer for Canada, I have to create a whole new email and go through all of the monkeying around with spacing again. 

If anyone has a better work around for now to use, please let me know because this is way too time consuming. I'm spending more time building a second email just for a new address in the footer than I really should be.

As someone newer to Marketo I've imported some of the Marketo templates and found them about 50% useless because of this.  While I can clone the program, I need to build the assets from scratch, instead of just swithching the templates on the assets within the program. Unless I am missing something...

Hello, is there any way to change the template that is used on a Landing Page?  I have a new template I want to apply to an existing landing page but don't see any way to do this without having to create a new landing page.  Please advise.

I also vote for this!! It would be really nice to not have to recreate an email. Can ya'll at Marketo create a way to exchange one template for another on an exisiting email?

Right now unless I am mistaken, I have to clone the email with a different template, save it with a new name, approve it, select it in whatever campaign I was using the old one in, unapprove the old email, delete it. This is a HASSLE when you have to do it 10-4,000,000 times!

Please enable this - seems like it should have been developed long ago. I now get to recreate five emails with the new template.

I agree, this would be a very helpful feature!

If mapping the editable sections to the new template is an issue, why not have a simple prompt window that opens up when switching templates... This could show all editable regions in both the current and new template and allow the user to map which content from the original template should go to which location in the new template.

Is this coming anytime soon? I'm working on a newsletter, and it seems every month I have to recreate it because a story falls out or gets added in at the last minute. It would be so nice to change templates!
