There's a little-used feature when it comes to designing landing page templates: importing and exporting templates. Essentially, all the "export" and "import" do are download HTML files and ingest them for creating new templates. This feature is handy, though not any more so than just doing a copy/paste of HTML code.
Where there's room for significant improvement, though, is the ability to directly import templates from trusted instances the same way one can import programs. Today, if you import a program with a landing page that has no existing template, the import will set up that LP template as well. It's just that the more basic functionality of just porting a template that doesn't have this automatic creation. Sometimes, it doesn't make sense to bring in the template through Import Program (such as with utility templates) and having the option to just direct import templates from your other trusted instances would be more straightforward.
That said, even the import/export functionality doesn't exist for email templates, which doesn't make much sense--it's essentially the exact same idea (download and reupload HTML), so if this is addressed, it'd be nice to have both corrected at the same time.
