Welcome back to the Adobe Marketo Engage Community Lens - September Edition! In this series, we're diving into the most exciting announcements and game-changing updates that'll elevate your marketing skills to the next level.

Highlights

  • Adobe Identity Migration Coming Soon: We're shaking things up with a hard September 30, 2025 deadline to migrate from Marketo Engage Identity to Adobe Identity. Miss the deadline? No worries—Adobe will handle it for you in October, but you'll be temporarily locked out until you accept the invitation. The new system comes with some quirks around IP restrictions and SSO that are worth knowing about. Don't be scrambling around at the last minute—get ahead of this migration now.
  • Your Ideas in Action: Your feedback is driving real product innovation at Marketo! The team has successfully implemented several community-suggested features from the Ideas space, transforming user pain points into powerful solutions. Moving forward, we're taking a more proactive approach to updating idea statuses throughout development. Discover which of your ideas made it into production!
  • Deprecation of Forward-to-Friend: Marketo's Forward-to-Friend feature is sunsetting on September 29, 2025, due to a security vulnerability that could let attackers forward emails they never received. While it wasn't exactly the most popular feature, this affects anyone using those F2F tokens in their emails. Please note that you can request early deprecation starting September 1st if you want to get ahead of it.
  • Marketo Just Dropped Some Seriously Cool Features: The Marketo team has been busy cooking up features that'll make your daily grind so much smoother. We're talking global My Tokens that eliminate those annoying duplicates, trigger tokens that can access literally any activity data, UI improvements that actually speed things up, and field management that finally shows you those API names without the CSV export dance. These aren't just incremental updates—they're genuine productivity boosters that your future self will thank you for exploring.
  • SSL Certificates: Now With Zero Support Tickets Required: Remember when setting up SSL certificates meant filing support tickets and waiting around? Those days are officially over! Marketo admins can now generate SSL certificates right from the UI when creating domain aliases—just check a box and watch the magic happen.
  • CRM Sync Makeover Coming Soon: Adobe's taking extra time to perfect their new CRM sync—we're talking three more months to nail the performance, stability, and reliability improvements you've been asking for. The phased rollout starts in early November for those who have it enabled.
  • Hitting Pause on Conditional Content in the New Email Designer: We're temporarily pulling the plug on our new Conditional Content feature in the Email Designer because some legacy tokens were not resolving correctly. Don't panic—your existing emails are still working perfectly fine, though you might see some funky scripts if you try editing them. The feature will be back once the team sorts out the technical details, so hang tight for updates.
  • Refreshed UI Coming Soon: The Community is getting a sleek makeover this week with design improvements that promise to streamline your daily interactions. The refreshed platform features cleaner typography, intuitive navigation, and enhanced thread readability with subtle background shading for better conversation tracking. Experience a preview of the upgraded interface in our announcement blog.
