i have managed to solve. it appears that you need to provide all possible date sin the picklist first, then you can filter based on the switch

I have created an API Only role as per documentation. Now trying to create an API Only user. have assigned to API Only role but unable to check the 'API Only' checkbox. It is simply uncheckable. Am I missing something?
