Thanks for the follow-up Sean Richards and for sharing your results. Very interesting!
Sean Richards I've worked on some similar things to Greg, and it's also my preferred way of managing lifecycle stage changes in SFDC. It's a way better sales UX, which makes it a lot easier for reps to take the desired behavior. The first time we used a Visualforce page with custom buttons that trigg...
Thanks Owen Millard - yes it's unfortunate. Since this was posted I've used a few different advanced tools in SFDC to extend the capabilities of standard lead assignment rules. To really make this dynamic, I'd include the SFDC user ID of the intended owner in that temporary field and then look at dy...
MailChimp. As a straight-up ESP they were top notch and of late have been adding in some light-weight automations (useful for an ecommerce site perhaps). I think transitioning from MailChimp's slick design and consumer-level ease of use to circa 2011 Marketo was especially tough, until I figured out...
Hi Sean RichardsThanks for the detailed follow-up on this. Based on the thread you linked to, it sounds like there be two issues at play - the first is the use of multi-batch queuing (per Denise's final post in the thread) which could cause order of operations issues with even individual records. M...

This allows you to run those more complex queries at a time that will minimize disruptio...

These three people have given an incredible amount of their time to help others. It's difficult to properly quantify their impact on the community (of Marketo users) as a whole or the value of the community resource (this website) that has been created as a result - but it's massive! Marketo should ...
If you don't have a lot of tech resources to build/maintain custom ELT, then you may want to look at services like Stitch or Fivetran. Both have Marketo and Snowflake connectors out of the box and a non-developer can be up and running in an hour or two.
I've seen this personally happen in only one instance, and in that case it was associated with a large number of leads being converted to contact in batch (but using standard conversion functionality in SFDC). It certainly wreaked havoc. After getting to tier 3 support, the explanation was that the ...
