Hi

We are looking to integrate Zoom Events with Marketo and use a Marketo registration form, but struggling to understand how to configure these steps in Marketo (link to instructions here😞

  1. Within the program, navigate to the My Tokens tab, then drag and drop a text element.
  • Token Name: “eventId”
  • Value: “{Zoom Event ID}” - is this populated from Zoom Events or something I'm manually adding?
  1. Go to the Marketo form you created. Use the multi-step dropdown menu or use a hidden field with a manually defined value to add the ZoomEvents Ticket ID custom field - what is a a manually defined value in this case?
  2. Paste the desired ticket IDs - where do I get these IDs from?
    1. Note: You must use the field ZoomEvents Ticket ID in order for the flow to work. Without this field, a registrant will not be created in Zoom Events.

Thanks!

You need to manually enter these values into my tokens. You'll find the corresponding IDs within the event you've created or will create in Zoom.

Try this:

  1. Add the Program Member flow step in your registration campaign.  Vinay_Kumar_0-1714064642672.png
  2. Wait step (2-3) minutes
  3. Call webhook at the end.

Sorry for the delay in providing an update to this one! Zoom support recommended the following approach instead:

Thank you so much @Vinay_Kumar 😊

I tried entering those values but go this error when I tested it: Server Returned code 400. Does this suggest a problem with the webhook set up or integration?

Did you also create a hidden field in the registration form for ticket ID? Can I add the token as default value:

And also, do you know if it's possible to use global registration forms with Zoom Events?

Did you ever figure out if you could use global forms and just set the ticket ID on the flow step?

Thanks again @Vinay_Kumar and @SanfordWhiteman for sharing your knowledge - really appreciate it! 🙂

I'm currently waiting for an update from Zoom Events support as Marketo couldn't help us.

The integration with Zoom Events is built by Zoom unlike the service available under Launchpoint:

I will post a solution here once I hear back from them.

Hi Lilly,

Thanks, this is helpful as the documentation from the Zoom end is pretty sparse. Do you have details on the field mapping setup in Zoom Events and configuration for the webhook? I am getting a 10032 error "Get marketo lead info failed" when I attempt to call the webhook.

Thanks,
Tim

The same I suggested in one of my comments above.

@Vinay_Kumar so sorry for my delayed reply! I couldn't sig in to the community but seems to now be fixed.

You're right - there were a few different issues that weren't allowing us to integrate the 2 systems, the main one was (1) field mapping in Zoom Events was throwing an unexplained server error - once removed we could integrate the programs and (2) we were also getting errors when trying to populate the Zoom Event fields - your solution is correct, which is also allowing us to continue to use global forms.

Thanks again for your help! 🙂

I'm experiencing sign-in issues as well. It often takes me 4-5 attempts before I can access the community. Thank you for your response—I'm glad the solution is working well for you.

@lillyfalcon can you point to the Zoom documentation for this integration please?

Hey @SanfordWhiteman - sure thing!

Zoom: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0067042&_ga=2.10664948.1179500574....

Zoom Events: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0061861

The server error I was experiencing was caused by Field Mapping on the Zoom Event > Integrations > Marketo/Configure. After removing additional fields, we were able to integrate ok.

However, I'm still trying to understand / test if possible to use global forms for capturing registrations or whether local forms are a better option. Support article here: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0060780

Ugh... an arbitrary Wait step.

Are you trying to “wait” for the {{member.tokens}} to be populated?
