Workspaces and lead partitions

We have lead partitions and workspaces created for each of our regions, including Default  that has everyone in it.  We have set up trigger campaigns that if someone is part of a country and/or geography, their record would update to the appropriate partition.  When we uploaded a list in the default workspace with the correct country, the partition was never updated, and it remained as default.  We only noticed this when we had an event registration within our India workspace/partition and when someone tried to register they could not, becuase they were under the default partition.

Going forward when we have event registrations, should we put them in the default space?  Although if we do that, those users assigned to a particular workspace/partition may not be able to see default unless they were granted access, correct?

Would be nice to know best practices on this.  Thanks for your time!

Re: Workspaces and lead partitions

You should add your registrations to the Default if the participants can be in any of your regions.  In that way, your trigger campaigns can take the participants and assign them to the correct partition (and workspace).  If you run your event campaigns from a regional workspace, you'll end up seeing other regions' leads in that space for a certain amount of time.

Re: Workspaces and lead partitions

Quick question - how would you show a smart list for those who have registered for an event using the default workspace, and the user has access to the India workspace only?  Would it be view only access to the default space?
