Workflow Sync to Salesforce

Right now, for every program that we have, we have workflows set up that if a lead is sent an email, opened an email, clicks an email, or fills out a form in the program, it syncs that action to Salesforce in the corresponding campaign. (Same thing with events, except different actions).

Is there a way to make this an operational campagin so we don't have to include these steps in all of our workflows? Or, is there another way anyone has found to simplify these steps?

Thanks!

Re: Workflow Sync to Salesforce

Hi Jennifer, in the setup of the program, you can create a SFDC sync that will sync the actions to the corresponding campaign. The one gotcha here is that you can only do a 1:1 link if this sync is selected, as opposed to setting up the campaign in SFDC and having flow steps. All of your progression steps will automatically go to SFDC using this. Also, any leads acquired by the campaign will be synced over to SFDC.

Re: Workflow Sync to Salesforce

The easiest path here is to, thorugh the campaign sync in Marketo, use Marketo to create the Salesforce campaign.  By doing so, the member statuses and the program costs will get synched automatically so that you don't have to custom-build SFDC campaigns or create workflows to synch.

But remember that you need to explicitly tell Marketo which Statuses to use and When. You will need separate Status Flows to manage that.

The nice thing is if you use Program Templates, this should be fairly easy.
