Re: Which templates in Email Editor 2.0 work with Outlook 2013?

Morning,

I created a new email using the new email editor 2.0 - after sending some tests to myself and a colleague (and then raising a case) we discovered that there are some areas of code not supported by Outlook e.g. border-spacing, display, float...

Does anyone know of any starter email templates that are supported by Outlook and will look alright? I'm trying to send a newsletter type email and used Snowbunny......

Many thanks!

Justin Cooperman Is the large image on Urbanista not responsive? Everything else seems to be... Is there a way to make it responsive or at least show up on a phone better?

Do you mean the hero background image? It should be. If you're seeing weirdness somewhere, please send me an email with a screenshot and I'll have our developers look into it.

Just FYI - these templates will be updated continuously and we do test them across all devices.

There is an update to every single "Starter Template" that will be launched inside of Marketo in the Template Picker in a matter of days. Here are the Litmus renderings. You'll see many things have been addressed:

Very happy to see these templates were checked with Litmus this time around.

Hi Justin! I'm using the corrected HTML templates, but my header logo is still skewing and pushing the link down, even after adjusting the dimensions. Any ideas?

I'm also using Outlook 2016.

So, I've found in that template that if the aspect ratio is such that the logo is much much wider than tall (doesn't matter the resolution, just proportions) then the header won't look great. I'll see if we can make some tweaks to handle really wide images better. If you use closer to a 3:1 aspect ratio it should work much better. For example this image I used is 2500x1000 (2.5:1):

Thank you! I'll try that.

Please use litmus to test them or clone the templates and update them to comply with Outlook's quirks.
