what do munchkin codes track? and Can they work on secure sites?

We might be interested in adding munchkin code to a second domain we own, however, it is a secure site (HTTPS). Are we able to add munchkin code to pages on a secure site without breaking the site?
Also, we need to know which details munckin codes track, where they store these details, if they cookie the user's station - what goes into that, etc. to assure that we are not breaking any security or HIPAA rules or compliance.

Hi Mierav,

You can add the Munchin Tracking code to a second domain,
 but there are some nuances.

If you're cookied as a known lead on Domain 1 you won't always be on Domain 2. So, it might be you're not tracking on the same lead.

One good way to do this is to fill out a form on both sites to be sure you're cookied and see if that gets tracking working for you. Calling in to support, they'll be able to help you too.

Munchkin tracking code helps you track visits to your web site. You’re likely to want to use Munchkin tracking code to cookie anonymous leads for most or all of the pages on your website.

Visits to the page are recorded for existing leads, and a visit to the page by a non-cookied user will cause a new cookie to be created and stored, and a new anonymous lead to be created in your Marketo software.

You can reference the Munchkin tracking code with either secure HTTP (https:// prefix to the URL) as well as regular HTTP (http:// prefix).
