Using Links in Tokens for Updating Status

I have a token I use for emails called {{xxx-from}} to customise the from signature.  It includes name, titel etc and we sometimes use thos for emails that should be sent from a single person, rather than dynamically from each lead owner.  The email address is visibly "X" but is set to send to "Y".

I want to include a click on this link as an update to status Email>Clicked, but it doesn't appear in the list available.

I am doing something wrong, or as I suspect, does it just not work this way.

Presumably if I use the actual system generated token for Lead Owner email address, that would work?  Or if I set up a specific email address token?

I do not think it will "work" as you see it as a token in the URL, but if you replace the token with the texts, it won't necessarily find it from the list, but if you say Visited Webpage contains uniquethinghere  even if it doesn't come up in the smart list it should work. Best way to know is to try it out!

If you use tokens for URLs fo example, the URL won't show up in the trigger filter. However the token does! You could also break up the token in three pieces. Part 1 (first part of HTML), Part 2 (contains only the link), and Part 3 (last part of HTML). No you can filter on "Clicked Link - is - {{my.xxx-frompart2}}".
