I was wondering exactly what happens when you turn an engagement program back on. We had a campaign running where the leads received the 1st email, but then they wanted to turn the program off due to some issues that had to be addressed before the 2nd email went out. Now we are ready to start the program again, so if we turn the program back on, will the leads resume where they were in the stream, or will they receive Email 1 again and start over? Thanks!
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes, leads will resume for the next Cast they were eligible for.
If you want to force a new date that is not part of the Cadence, you can change First Run On to any date.
Perfect. Thank you so much!
Hey Josh - quick question regarding this - if I change the First Run On date after I turn the program back on (such as changing it to a Wed. send instead of a Tues. send at 10AM), the lead should receive Email #2 in the stream as before, except now they will get it on a Wed. instead, correct? Thanks! Josh Hill
Yes, that's correct.
You can also force the First Run to be ANY date in the future but it will ALSO send on the next Day of the Week Cast, so it's possible to send twice, if the First Run Date is not the same Day as the Cast Cadence.
They should pick up where they left off.
Jason
Great. Thanks!
Marketo will never send twice an email that is part of one Engagement Stream.
Hey All- I turned a multi-stream campaign off right before it was supposed to go out. I updated a few E-mail set it to send out a few hours later and turned it back on. It does not appear the E-mails are going out after turning the program back on. Any advice on this?
