trigger campaign status is changed in SFDC Campaign

I am not sure I was using the trigger campaign status is changed in SFDC Campaign right. I had to use member of sfdc batch campaign with the status limitation to achieve the goal I needed to.

What is the trigger campaign status is changed in SFDC Campaign used for and what needs to be in place to maximize its function?

Generally what I'd do is sync to a Marketo program and trigger on changes to Program Status.

Just verified the name, you can also do "Status is changed in SFDC Campaign", the trigger is under the Salesforce folder.

I would agree in this case we use a form that has paypal interaction so we upload the data manually into sales force under specific statuses. I wanted to automate the confirmation message as soon as it was complete.

You may want to use Added to SFDC Campaign with Status of X depending on your setup.

Status is Changed in SFDC Campaign should work best if you are changing statuses alot. Either way, a SFDC Campaign Status change will trigger on

Added to SFDC Campaign
Status is Changed

I did try the added to first and it didn't work. It didn't even see when the test email was manually added, so I tried more triggers.

Erik R, just wondering, if he is syncing to the SFDC Campaign to Marketo Program, would Marketo ignore the trigger of Status is changed in SFDC Campaign? I know the article on the sync states that it ignores these flow steps.

CAUTION: Syncing your Marketo Program with a Salesforce Campaign skips the following Salesforce Actions if they are configured within the Flow of your Program's Child Campaigns: Add to SFDC Campaign, Change Status in SFDC Campaign, Remove from SFDC Campaign, and Sync Lead to SFDC Campaign. Program to Campaign sync automatically takes care of these data updates.

Well, that's talking about flow steps, so I don't think it matters. That said, I'd just sync 'em and use the Program Status change events.

I amd kind of confused. Marketo automatically syncs with SFDC, and if I am telling the system to respond when some one is put into a campaign with a specific status then why would I sync the data back and forth like that? Also that seems way to complex of an answer I guess Ill just live with a batch campaign which seems to work, but will continue picking your brains any chance I get.
