Tracking data from Oktopost to Marketo Interesting Moments

Hello All,

We're having integrations between Marketo and Oktopost. We're able to track some data about actions that a users performed in Social media.

For example, we can see that a user clicked on a link on a post in Linkedin, or wrote a coment and so on.

We would like our interesting moments to look like this:

Clicked [social link] on a Twitter / Facebook / LinkedIn post.

We're receiveing the folowing fields for the logs coming from social media:

Could somebody provide a solution how to place data from the fields highlighted on a screenshot to interesting moments or to use it in the Smart Campaigns for the future?

Thank you.

You need to setup custom activities and fields in marketo and post that you need to Enable the sync conversion and sync activities to let the data from oktopost sync back to respective marketo fields. This guide has all the information you will need to setup this integration and sync data back to marketo from the oktopost. I believe post this you will be able to use all the data in smart campaigns and even update the interesting moments as per your requirements.

It's pretty hard to refer back to activity field values from within a Marketo Flow. You will need to do all your filtering and data capture during the Smart List. Here's an example for Lead Scoring based on when somebody engages on LinkedIn (likes, clicks, comments, etc.). We also make sure to increase the score only of the comment is positive.

Is Person Score +5 the average recommended value for likes/clicks/shares on social media?

Here's another example on how to capture what type of content people are engaging with on social media and then to use that to update a field value. The field value can then be used for segmentation, dynamic content, etc. You can also create interesting moments using a similar process. The example below will capture engagement on content that is tagged with "topic:advocacy" inside Oktopost Campaigns.

Re: Tracking data from Oktopost to Marketo Interesting Moments

Just found another example to alert sales when their prospect is active on social media. Again, you can use this same use case to create an interesting moment instead of alerting the sales rep.

Re: Tracking data from Oktopost to Marketo Interesting Moments

Hello Daniel,

Thank you very much for all your examples, they can be very handy in future 🙂

The idea of my request is to show very informative data to our Sales Team, by showing evey action in the folowing format:

User wrote a coment "randomComment" to post: "http://randompost.url".

In the example above Sales Team knows which post interested the user, and what exactly did user write.

Would be very handy  to put this data to "Interesting moments" because "Interesting moments" can be shoun in our CRM, which is used by Sales Team.

Hi Alexandr,

What CRM are you using? Oktopost also has direct integrations with Salesforce and MS Dynamics, so you will be able to show social activity data to the Sales Team and other users of the CRM.
