Tracking conversions using Marketo form on non-Marketo landing page

We've recently moved our landing pages from Marketo to Word Press to improve SEO. I'm not able to set up the campaign to track conversions because Marketo won't accept the Word Press URL in the web page filter within the Filled Out Form trigger. This is not a good thing.

I've removed the "http://" and tried advice from other similar community questions but it still won't work.

The landing pages were created within a custom plug in (not Gravity Forms) and are not running the most current version of Word Press (3.8.1).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are you using forms 2.0? That will work for tracking the results via a smart campaign. I think the data will still not work on the report you mention.

Forms 1.0 will not trigger on fills out form.

What specifically was wrong with Marketo's SEO? They offer the same options WordPress does, even though it isn't as pretty as Yoast SEO.

Re: Tracking conversions using Marketo form on non-Marketo landing page

Hi Josh--Thanks for responding. I am using Forms 2.0 in an iFrame. Not sure how to set up the campaign differently than from what I was doing with Forms 1.0 and my Marketo LPs.

Trigger: Fills Out Form
Form Name: XXX
Web Page: This is what's not being accepted as it's non-Marketo
Querystring: XXX

How could I set this up differerntly so I can capture conversions?

Appreciate the input.

PS--We moved away from Marketo LPs because our former SEO/PPC agency stated they couldn't get accurate reporting. Our new SEO/PPC agency is stating that it's better to do LPs in WP too. I know there's been issues in the past but I thought Marketo had improved in this area.

Re: Tracking conversions using Marketo form on non-Marketo landing page

Hi Susan,

if you are using the form as an iFrame, then you should place it on a marketo LP first.
The link from that LP would be the Web Page link you are missing above.

We have it set up in a similar way and works pretty fine.

Hope that will help you.

Best regards
