Tokens: Accidentally overrode inherited token - how to change back?

Hi all,

I accidently overrode an inherited token, which moved it into the overridden category. Is there a way to change this back so it inherits the token values from the parent campaign?

Thanks!

I'm guessing Eumee is referring to "Local my Tokens" within programs/folders

Select the token in the overriden category at the right level (check if its at the program level or folder level), right click and delete it. It should then re-use the inherited token from the parent again.

Where are you utilizing tokens for this particular activity (and what tokens)?

I have this same issue, but the token is in use and cannot be deleted... any ideas for that scenario?

I can confirm that this worked.

Set the correct token values in the "Local" token at the parent level. Then, go to the "Overridden" token at the child level and delete it. The child program will instantly replace the old "Overridden" token with the "Inherited" token from the parent.

Hi Kristen,

They are local tokens that contain a date in them. They are being used in emails and landing pages. They are updated weekly so it's a rolling date, if that makes sense.

I was hoping there was some setting where I could just change it back to inherited? If worst comes to worse I would just re-clone the program.

Thanks Jason for your reply. I'll try it.
