Traditionally I have created fields in SFDC and synced to Marketo. Is there a way to sync a field created in Marketo, to SFDC?

Hi @snic1 , you can do this if the field already exists in Marketo, but it's kind of a pain.
Always recommended to create the fields in SFDC first if you think you might want them to sync between platforms in the future.

The field must be created in SFDC as well (i.e. no, Marketo can’t create the field in SFDC).
Then you open a Support case with Marketo and ask them to bind the fields together. You can’t do this from the UI yourself.

@snic1 This is a case where you need to be talking to your CRM team and Marketo Admins at the same time and be on the same page.
This will ensure fields are created and synced correctly and simultaneously go live.
Also good documentation of all fields, pickets values and syncs across SFDC and Marketo are essential for both teams and anyone working in the CRM and Marketo.
