SFDC Campaign Sync - Tradeshows

We recently synced many of our tradeshow events to SFDC and are hoping to pull reports in SFDC based on cost, leads, etc. Our SFDC admin has mentioned that the 'Start Date' is not syncing over to SFDC and I do see where that field is still blank. Without the start date, we are unable to pull the report. I know the campaigns are synced correctly, so how is the start date/date of the event synced over to SFDC?

We only sync leads and their status at this time.

If you want, you can use the Program API to programmatically sync dates and other Program attributes to the corresponding SFDC Campaign. This will require some custom integration work though. For example, you could ask a Salesforce developer to create a call-out to Marketo to pull in this information via Marketo's SOAP API. This is an advanced feature: the developer needs to be familiar with custom triggers and web services.

We have our market managers build campaigns in SFDC before syncing them to Marketo (rather than creating new campaigns from within Marketo). This way they are prompted to fill in all of the appropriate campaign data.
