Hi Everyone,
We are looking to send personalized emails from multiple Field Service Reps (FSR) on a monthly cadence using Marketo. (We do not have Marketo Sales Insight..yet.) A majority of the email content will be the same. Only Field Service Rep name and contact information will vary. However, the FSR is not the account or contact owner so we can't use field tokens.
We plan to use a Salesforce Campaign per FSR to identify the target audience per FSR. My question is - what is the most scale-able way to incorporate the FSR name and contact information into each email? Is it possible to use "Member of SFDC Campaign" as a filter to build segments and then create dynamic snippets? Will the segment update as contacts are added or removed from the Salesforce campaign?
Anna,
"Member of SFDC Campaign" is an available filter for segmentations, so you can have one segment for each FSR. And yes, once a person is removed from an SFDC campaign, they will be removed from that segment and then attempt to qualify for another segment in top-down order.
However, I think it would just be easier to create a custom field for the FSR that you can use as tokens (ex. FSR Full Name, FSR Job Title, FSR Phone).
Hi Devraj,
Thank you for the suggestion. I'm a bit hesitant to build a handful of custom fields for this program. It's quite possible that the FSR could change over time and I don't want to run batch campaigns to update lead records every time. I also want to be able to report metrics at the program level but also drill down by FSR. Segments would allow me to do this but I've read somewhere (can't find the article now though..) that sometimes segments don't always update in real time.
That is true, sometimes segments take a little time to update, but it is automatic when the SFDC campaign changes, whereas my suggestion would require another smart campaign to update the FSR custom fields.
