Hey all! Question:
Let's say you have the same email address listed twice in your Smart List. You set your email to send with Recipient Time Zones turned on. And those two duplicate Leads with the identical email addresses have two different addresses attached to them in two different time zones.
Typically, Marketo knows to not send the same email more than once to an email address, even if the email address is listed twice. But let's say the scenario above happens? Which timezone would it choose? Would it actually send twice?

Yes, the bottom line is that email program/send email flow step will only send one email to multiple people with same email address qualified in the SL. The person with least lead id will receive the email and all the activities will be attributed/logged to this person in Marketo.
Marketo's lead database fully supports more than 1 people with same email address- since the Email Address field is not the primary identifier. However, Marketo will only send to one email address per Send Email even if there are more than one people with same email address qualify to receive the emails. In your case IMO the person with the lowest lead id will receive the email.
Gotcha. so even if the Smart List has been parsed into multiple time zones and Marketo delivers to emails at different times, the whole thing still only counts as one Send Email?
